Boliden Kevitsa located in Sodankylä, Finland, is seeking a
Head of Section, Projects (Projektipäällikkö)
The Kevitsa open-pit mine in northern Finland was acquired by Boliden in June 2016. The operation, which comprises a mine and a concentrator, went into operation in 2012 and is thus still in its ramp-up phase. The Kevitsa deposit – first discovered in 1987 – is one of the largest ever mineral discoveries in Finland. Currently, Kevitsa has 400 employees who work together with around 200 contractors.
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Head of Section, Projects will be responsible for leading projects related to infrastructure, buildings, technology, safety improvement and other investments of Boliden Kevitsa Mine. Resources for each project will be agreed and assigned separately as per the project scope and workload.
