The Kevitsa open-pit mine in northern Finland was acquired by Boliden in June 2016. The operation, which comprises a mine and a concentrator, went into operation in 2012. The Kevitsa deposit – first discovered in 1987 – is one of the largest ever mineral discoveries in Finland. Currently, Kevitsa has 570 employees who work together with around 350 contractors.
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Head of Section, Automation & Electrical Maintenance will be responsible for the leadership, management and technical excellence of the Automation and Electrical Maintenance of Boliden Kevitsa Mine and metallurgical plant.
