Train carrying potash derails near Hope, British Columbia

A train carrying potash derailed near Hope, British Columbia.

According to reports, about 20 cars went off the tracks on a bridge near Hunter Creek, about 150 kilometres east of Vancouver.

Several of the derailed cars are in the water and CN Rail told media outlets its environmental team is responding.

There are no reported injuries and the cause of the incident is under investigation.

Videos posted on social media by Kassandra Vekens and Karm Sumal show the extent of the damage.
